One night I saw her
The light, her cheeks
The shining grin
Coming and growing and fading and going in
A matter of weeks.
She's always phased me.
The side of her she never lets me see.
were you once a part of me?
What do you go home to?
You're always alone, always alone, always alone
Will you let me show you?
You're never alone, never alone, never alone
To all the lovers
who made their letters
put in a bottle
tossed out to sea
they're just as lost as we are
they're just as lost as we are
What do you go home to?
You're always alone, always alone, always alone
Will you let me show you?
You're never alone, never alone, never alone
What do you go home to?
You're always alone, always alone, always alone
Will you let me show you?
You're never alone, never alone, never alone
You’ll keep your distance
I’ll keep my space

Have I become
So predictable
You’d rather
I didn’t speak.
Has this become
So cyclical
That you’d rather
Loop than think
Its hard not to live in the dark
Close your eyes its all you see
Its a matter of choice
How you view the noise
Without the contrast the light couldn’t be
Have I become so predictable you rather I didn't speak?
You want to know whats so unattractive about me?
I love you exhaustingly
But when you see my eyes go from blue to grey you can tell I lost all the light from your extinguishing glow
I don't know when you became a light switch with so many settings but I already know what they all are
So if I may suggest
Please detach yourself and find a light source that will keep my eyes blue all day long.
You could live your life in the light
But you stay in the shadow
you could live your life in the light
and stay in the shadow
you could live your life in the light
why stay in the shadow
Whirled world in a circular motion
Open your eyes and see the explosion

The wind blows down stream
Rushing my inner tube along
Still i appear more supreme
Flexing arms much too long
The water is biting
But for a nine year old king
There are more consuming things
We had a picnic
It does feel like your horse
Once you’ve given it a name
Even for that short time
Leaning against the fence
Watching it feed
Going back every day that week
On the way to the little creek
We caught crayfish
Walking down train tracks
Thinking of the olympics
Stray cats in the thicket
Trying to stay off the gravel street
Grandpa feeds them
The year i learned the sport
He gave me my first tennis racket
We all tried
My cousins and I

I’m comin in the house
We need to be decent
I don’t care if we’re not friends
I’m comin in the house
Cause i’m in it just now
The midst of bitterness
I’m comin in the house
So put your hands on me
Cause we’re brothers in some way
I’m comin in the house
Call your sister from upstairs
I saw her through the front window
I’m coming in the house
We need to be decent
I’m comin in the house
Woman i’m not supposed to hate you
But it’s getting out of hand
